This is Storm Watch Meteorologist Jon Slater...

A strong cold front will approach OKC later this afternoon. The front should push across central Oklahoma this evening and then stall across southeastern Oklahoma tonight. Look for a huge temperature contrast across the state both today and Tuesday with highs in the 40s in northwestern Oklahoma and 70s/80s in southeastern Oklahoma. Here in OKC it's a tough temperatures forecast but I will side with the colder temperatures with highs in the 50s possible in central Oklahoma on Tuesday.

As moisture flows up and over the shallow front showers and thunderstorms will be possible just about anywhere today through Tuesday into Wednesday morning with the heaviest rain setting up north and west of the front across northwestern Oklahoma.

The weather improves later in the week and the weekend is looking great!

Jon...
