Brent Weber brings to Oklahoma nearly three decades of experience in the television and entertainment industry. A former CNN Sports anchor and reporter, Brent spent the past dozen years working in the Los Angeles market, including stints as CNN's West Coast Sports Correspondent and most recently handling live game coverage for Fox Sports Net West. Brent was sports director at the Orange County Newschannel and later produced and hosted the television series Action Figures, an entertainment/active lifestyle talk show.

After earning his Bachelor's in Broadcast Journalism at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Brent experienced the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to serve as an intern at the then-brand-new Cable News Network, returning a decade later to the CNN newsroom as an on-air talent. In-between he had stints in radio in Atlanta, and on television in Macon, Georgia and Chattanooga, Tennessee. In the latter he served as radio play-by-play voice of the Cincinnati Reds' Class AA affiliate. In fact, Brent's first passion in sports is indeed baseball play-by-play, and he later was the television voice of the Cal State Fullerton Titans.

Brent frequently speaks to students of all ages on a variety of topics and his book about the television news industry "The Sports Guy: Scorecard Scribblings From An Ordinary Journalist" is used in several college classrooms. Brent has volunteered with the MS Society, Special Olympics and the Community Kitchen. He was honored to receive a National Cable Ace Award for his work at CNN, and has several Associated Press honors to his credit. Brent insists his daughter is the true talent in the family, a talented actress who is currently completing her college studies.
